The Jihad in Afghanistan is also on the upsurge. Clashes with U.S. troops and their surrogates are occurring daily.

The Mujahideen attacks are increasingly assuming the Iraqi pattern. Recently heavy casualties have been inflicted on U.S. forces and soldiers of the stooge government. Some of the recent achievements of the Afghan Mujahideen are detailed below:

* In an encounter in the Province of Zabul more than 24 U.S. troops were killed. This attack was quickly followed up with an attack on Afghan ‘government’ forces headquarters in the Province of Arghendab. All government soldiers fled the scene of the battle. The Mujahideen pursued them and the local commander, Isa Muhammad was killed.

This attack was followed by another Mujahideen attack in which government offices and buildings were overrun. No government or U.S. personnel were found in any of the offices. The Mujahideen seized a large quantity of weapons, vehicles and ammunition. The entire Province of Arghendab has been cleared of any government or U.S.A. presence.

* While mainstream media downplay Mujahideen attacks, in fact, not even reporting the many operations, the Mujahideen are on the move inflicting damage on the enemy. The U.S. forces and its surrogate government forces are continuously being harrassed by the
Mujahideen.

* The Mujahideen have also secured long range missiles which are being deployed.

* After an attack on U.S. forces in Patika, four bodies of U.S. soldiers were found laying in the road.

* Mujahideen attacked a government checkpost in Zabul killing three government soldiers. The Mujahideen took possession of the post for several hours.

* A car bomb attack on an American column outside Kabul destroyed one armoured vehicle. All occupants were killed.

* In an attack on a Romanian convoy at Bab Sauhaib, one Romanian soldier was killed and two vehicles destroyed.
