The frequent sabre-rattling by the U.S.A. at Iran and Syria has created the notion that an American invasion of these two countries is imminent. The American debacle in Iraq precludes any invasion into Iran and Syria.

The furthest which could be postulated in the present scenario is strikes from the air and from far a field —from bases and from the sea.

When the U.S.A. has demonstrated its impotency in Iraq— when its military is grinding under the terrible yoke of the Iraqi ‘insurgency’-when it has run out of essential equipment like Humvees and other military hardware, does not seem plausible that Bush & Co. will act with total insanity to invade Iraq and Syria. While strikes from great distances are probable, the U.S.A. no longer possesses the military wind for other land battles which may prove to be more intractable, more gruelling and violent than the Iraqi conflagration.

When the U.S.A. is unable to contain the situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, invading Iran and Syria is not a reasonable postulate.

By invading Syria, Lybia and even Egypt, the Ummah has nothing to lose. On the contrary the Ummah stands to benefit immensely should any power invade these countries and dismantle the murderous governmental systems of the munaafiqeen who are presently at the helm of affairs.

It is of the Sunnah of Allah Azza Wa Jal to send one power to eliminate another power. The Qur’aan Majeed states in this regard: “If Allah does not eliminate people—some with some, then the earth will become corrupted.”

When a nation exceeds all bounds of zulm (injustice/oppression/cruelty), Allah Ta’ala decrees the destruction of the oppressors. To execute the task of destruction, He sends against the oppressors either a just ruler or a power of kufr.

In the case of Iraq, there was no just power to remove Saddam, hence Allah Ta’ala sent the U.S.A. to remove him and to dismantle his organisation. Now that the U.S.A. has exceeded the bounds of legitimacy, emulating Saddam in the perpetration of atrocities, Allah Ta’ala will send others to destroy it in the same way that the Soviet Union was eliminated. Perhaps the demise of the U.S.A. will be an incandescent event of great tumult. It is said: the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
